NCI Advocating Against Increasing Youth Unemployment in Nigeria

New Century Initiative has been in front line advocacy and campaign against the increasing youth unemployment in Nigeria through policy engagement with relevant stakeholders, policy makers and government agencies. We participated in the review of the National Youth Policy in Nigeria, review of Nigerian Youth Employment Action Plan, and meeting by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, under the Presidency, and made huge contributions to finding everlasting and practical solution to the increasing youth unemployment in Nigeria.

We strongly believe that unemployment encourages, poverty, terrorism, crimes, and sociopolitical exclusion of young people.

According to Nebo Obinna Collins, the team leader of New Century Initiative, "unemployment creates poverty, poverty creates social class, and social class encourages youth exclusion."
